Hi Friends,

We have a winner for the High Tea for Two for sharing a positive story and her name is Linda Zlotnick! Thanks Linda for making the world a kinder and better place to be. Here is what she shared...

"When you started the Secret Garden Tea Company, you wisely knew women love to get together with friends over a cup of tea. In fact, such experiences are among the most important things in life. Like you, I have found too many negative stories circulating so last week my friends and I did something to redress the balance. We noticed women who can no longer drive, who have health limitations, get to see even their good friends less and less. So my, slightly younger friends, who are still driving, invited 36 women in our church, who used to meet together, to an old fashioned tea and we offered to pick them up from all over the lower mainland. We mailed pretty invitations, created delicious sandwiches and squares (as close to Secret Garden standard as possible), made nametags with real flowers, and decorated six round tables with pastel cloths and rhododendron and laurel bouquets. Considerable excitement was generated and when the day came, as the piano played, it was poignant to see old friends greet one another, hug, talk enthusiastically and share the treasured objects we had asked each to bring. As women we instinctively know what is important in life and last Thursday we tried to model what we know, just as The Secret Garden does every day."

Linda

Please keep sending in your positive stories. We want to share them with you and you could be the lucky winner of a high tea for two at the Secret Garden.

Vancouver-based jewelry artist Naama Rozen brings to her work the warm inspirations of the sunny Mediterranean.
